Nursery
Welcome to Bentley Heath Nursery
At Bentley Heath Nursery, we believe that the best learning happens through play. Our setting is child-led, nurturing, and filled with opportunities for exploration. Every day, our kind and caring staff create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
We follow the EYFS framework, but our approach goes beyond ticking boxes. We spend time getting to know each child deeply so we can guide their learning through play, following their interests and developmental needs. Our routines are simple and reassuring, but most of the day is spent choosing—giving children the freedom to explore and discover.
What Makes Us Special
- Play-Based Learning: Carefully planned environments that adapt to each cohort’s needs.
- Thoughtful Enhancements: Activities linked to what children need to know, what they love, and the texts we share.
- Big Questions, Big Thinking: Each term, we explore an open-ended question through play and conversation, encouraging curiosity and creativity.
- Award-Winning Conservation Area: Outdoor learning is always open! Children spend time in nature and visit our school animals—the rabbits and chickens.
- Emotion Coaching: We nurture emotional wellbeing and teach positive behaviour through understanding and empathy.
