The School Day

The daily schedule for the main School is as follows

8.50am	Whole School – The external doors close and the school day begins (doors open from 8.40am)
8.50am – 9.00am	Morning Registration
10.40am – 11.00am	Key Stage 1 – Morning Break
11.00am – 11.20am	Key Stage 2 – Morning Break
11.55am – 12.45pm	Reception and Key Stage 1 – Lunch break
12.45pm – 12.50pm	Reception and Key Stage 1 – Registration
12.30pm – 1.20pm	Key Stage 2 – Lunch break
1.20pm – 1.25pm	Key Stage 2 – Registration
3.20pm	Reception and Key Stage 1 – School ends
3.25pm	Key Stage 2 – School ends

The school week is 32.5 hours for infants and 32.92 hours for juniors.

Nursery

Nursery sessions are as follows:

Morning Session – 8.45am until 11.45am
Lunch – 11.45am until 12.15pm
Afternoon Session – 12.15pm until 3.15pm

Punctuality

We believe that punctuality should be valued and hope you will encourage your child to arrive at school on time.  The school day begins at 8.50am for all our year groups and children arriving after this time are marked in the register as ‘late’. For security, the external doors are locked once the classes have entered the building and children arriving after this time will be marked as late and should enter school by the main entrance, recording their name, class and reason for late arrival on the school sign-in system.

At the end of the day, children will only be released to the adult that is expected on that day. Parents who are delayed on the way to collect children are asked to contact the school, so that the children can be reassured.
